At
the request of the late King Birendra,in 2000 the Nepal ski
team was created.
In 2002 Nepal sent its first Winter Olympian to compete in
the cross country events at the games in Salt Lake City.
Coached
for nearly ten years at our French training base in Les Arcs,
we are now fully focused on the next achievement - Getting
both a cross-country skier AND an Alpine Skier qualified for
the Winter Olympics in Vancouver next year.
We
are just a few points away from achieving this target and
hope to fly our flag in all the major disciplines to represent
the nation with the highest mountain in the world at the greatest
international ski tournament: The Winter Olympics.
